    Application

    • Roll goods manufactured with Aquence® PL 0857 under the conditions set forth in National's UL Batts & Blankets listing have received FHC 25/50 UL ratings.
    • Approved facings include foil. foil/scrim/kraft. vinyl. vinyl/scrim/kraft. vinyl/scrim/polyester and polyester/scrim/kraft.
    • Apply by direct roll coater or spray to facing.
    • Wet combine to glass insulation mat and allow to dry in the roll. Ready - for - use viscosity as supplied.

    Mildewcide Protection

    Aquence® PL 0857 is formulated with a mildewcide which will provide additional protection to the adhesive in the liquid or dry state against fungus. bacteria and mold. For instance. the dried film will meet ASTM D - 2020 requirements which cover mildewresistance of paper. paperboard and related products.

    Clean - up

    Clean up wet adhesive with water and dry adhesive with a nonflammable paint stripper containing gelled methylene chloride. Since methy - lene chloride attacks some types of synthetic elastomers. check with your roll covering supplier before use. Metal rolls are no problem.

    This adhesive meets the requirements of NFPA - 90A (Installation of Air Conditioning and Ventilating Systems 1985) and NFPA 90B (Warm Air Heating and Air Conditioning Systems 1984). When tested by UL as applied to inorganic - reinforced cement board at a coverage rate of 500 square feet/gallon. DORUS® PL 0857 was found to have the following surface burning characteristics:
