- Product Highlights
- ESTISOL 130 is a highly polar ester based on a cellulose feedstock. ESTISOL 130 is 100% biocarbon-based.
- ESTISOL 130 has a very high solvency power on polymers, paints, coatings and adhesives.
- ESTISOL 130 is partly soluble in water, 170 g/liter. ESTISOL 130 is an alternative to traditional, strong solvents such as ketones, aromatics, NMP, NEP, d-limonene and other organic solvents with a high GHS hazard labeling.

ESTISOL 130 is used in graffiti removers, paint strippers, resin cleaners, specialty coatings and adhesives and other areas, where substitution of traditional, hazardous “power solvents” is required.
An example is the use of ESTISOL 130 in a graffiti remover as sole solvent and in mixture with economic solvents like ESTISOL 150.
The removal of a black spray paint on a steel plate is demonstrated using ESTISOL 130 and ESTISOL 130/ESTISOL 150 in a 30/70 mixture compared with the pure ESTISOL 150.
After only 5 min. contact with the solvent at room temperature, the black spray paint is heavily attacked by ESTISOL 130 and the mixture of ESTISOL 130 and ESTISOL 150 whereas the pure ESTISOL 150 has a limited effect. This demonstrates that ESTISOL 130 can be applied as a solvency booster for low- priced esters in paint strippers and graffiti removers.
