- Mixing Data
- It is ready to use but at temperatures below 65°F it becomes a gel.
- To break the gel, warm the adhesive to 80°F with thorough agitation.
- If dilution is necessary, use Ethyl Acetate.
- Applications Procedure
- It should be applied by Roll Coat; Gravure is also possible using very coarse cylinders and web doctors.
- As the lacquer contains aliphatic solvents, any rollers coming into contact with it should withstand these solvents.
- Application Rate
The required coating weight for this product is 0.80-1.3 dry lbs per 1000 sq. ft.
- Drying Conditions
- It should be dried at 175- 200°F. Marginal drying conditions may produce some blushing at the surface.
- Higher temperatures, extension of the drying cycle, or addition of 5-10% of aliphatic napthas (toluol equivalents) will all reduce the problem.
- Sealing Conditions
It will start to reactivate at 190-200°F. Recommended sealing conditions are 325- 350°F at 80 psi for 3 seconds.
- Seal Strength
Provided the right package components have been used, bonds should be fiber tearing.
