Paragum 341 functions effectively with SBR (styrene-butadiene, cold or carboxylated), vinyl acetate, acrylic, and natural polymer dispersions; and is fully compatible with most auxiliaries including fillers, anionic/non-ionic surfactants, other thickening agents, colorants, and specialty additives.
Paragum 341 is a workhorse thickener used with cost- saving success in carpet coatings and adhesives, providing the process formulators and operators with:
- Effective coating weight control.
- Ease of usage and smooth blending during processing.
- Outstanding efficiency, low usage levels.
- Consistent performance at differing compound solids levels.
- Rheology designed to optimize coated substrate bonding while allowing full control of coating placement.
Paragum 341 thickens as received across a pH range of 6-12, and does not require the addition of alkaline materials such as ammonia hydroxide, sodium or potassium hydroxide for activation.
Paragum 341 chemistry is designed to meet and qualify under virtually all regulatory requirements of both governmental and non-governmental agencies. For example: it contains no European Union SVHC’s (Substances of Very High Concern); no heavy metals; and no (HAP’s) hazardous air pollutants.
Paragum 341 is manufactured at our Dalton, GA plant using Tiarco RST Quality Assurance process to assure batch-to-batch consistency with minimal deviation.
