- Directions for Use
- Open the package, ensuring the Selectrocide* 5G pouch inside is not cut. Discard desiccant.
- Add 1 pouch of Selectrocide° 5G to 10 Liters of potable water in an opaque covered container out of direct sunlight. Allow the 5G pouch to react with the water for 2 hours to produce a stock solution containing 500 ppm Chlorine Dioxide. The stock needs to be further diluted for end use applications.
To Achieve Use Concentration of: Standard Use Dilution Ratio of:
100 ppm 1:5 (one part 500 ppm solution to 4 parts water)
50 ppm 1:10 (one part 500 ppm solution to 9 parts water)
20 ppm 1:25 (one part 500 ppm solution to 24 parts water)
5 ppm 1:100 (one part 500 ppm solution to 99 parts water)
- Wait at least 2 hours before use to ensuresolution reachesfull strength. D0 not remove selectrocide* 5g from container of water prior to 2 hours of activation.
- Remove selectrocide* 5g from container (discard according to instructions below), and mix gently before use. Selectrocide* 5g must be removed from container within 24 hours after activation. Avoid inhaling fumes. Do not reuse selectrocide* 5g.
- Activate prior to expiration date stamped on package. Store unused solution (and/or subsequent dilutions) in a dark,oxidation-resistant closed or sealed container. Record activation date and concentration on stick-on label shipped with the product, and affix to storage container. Store activated solution in cool place out of direct sunlight (do not store in refrigerator dedicated to food storage).
Note: verify concentration using selective micro" test strips. For concentrations above 10ppm, use selective micron wide range test strips; for concentrations of 10ppm or less, use selective micron low range test strips. After 15 days, verify concentration with chlorine dioxide test strips and adjust dilutions accordingly if needed.
