Storage & Handling
- Storage and Handling Conditions
- Propylene Glycol USP is a high-purity material that must be handled with special precautions, and we store it below ambient temperature in a SUS or coated Carbon Steel tank with N2 blanketing for the prevention of oxidization.
- For storage, stainless steel or epoxy phenol coated carbon steel vessels are recommended to prevent rust or discoloration.
- The container should be stored below 40°C away from sources of UV. It must be kept in a tightly closed container after opening to avoid contamination and exposure to air.
- When storing in a tank, nitrogen padding is recommended. It is available for 2 years from the production date under the conditions above.
