    TECHNOMELT® Supra 098TM ECO
Reducing Carbon Footprint One Box at a Time

Consumers are pushing brands to be more socially and environmentally responsible. From bio-based and recycled materials to more efficient processes to minimize the carbon impact, sustainable solutions are a priority for manufacturers. Hot melt adhesives are used in the packaging of nearly every consumer product. Sustainable adhesive options can drive change for fast moving consumer goods companies. Henkel is rethinking packaging with adhesive innovations focused on minimizing the carbon footprint without compromising performance.

Henkel’s TECHNOMELT® Supra 098TM ECO is the first high performance, hot melt adhesive designed for end-of-line consumer packaging with a negative cradle-to-gate carbon footprint. It is formulated with direct bio-based and mass balance transfer materials to achieve up to 98% renewable content. This case and carton sealing hot melt adhesive supports carbon footprint reductions as part of Scope 3 regulatory requirements.

Henkel creates an advantage for the packaging industry through a complete range of high-impact solutions. TECHNOMELT® Supra ECO adhesives are ISCC PLUS certified and designed to support carbon footprint reductions. For every kilogram of standard polyolefin hot melt adhesive produced, the processing, transportation and raw materials for packaging requires significant amounts of energy and release carbon emissions or their equivalents into the environment. When using bio-based raw materials either directly or via the mass-balance transfer approach, carbon emissions can be significantly reduced.

TECHNOMELT® Supra 098TM ECO offers many features and benefits for manufacturers. Using Henkel’s industry knowledge, the product offers sustainable benefits without compromising on performance. Adhesive may be a small component of your overall package; however, it can make a big impact.
