This product shares isomeric characteristics with diethanolamine but distinguishes itself through the presence of a primary amine group, rendering it more reactive.

JEFFTREAT® M is a clear, water-white to pale amber, hygroscopic liquid with an ammoniacal odor. It is used in tail gas treatment and hydrogen sulfide enrichment units for selectively removing hydrogen sulfide from gas streams containing carbon dioxide. In most cases, these units permit 60 to 80% of the carbon dioxide to remain in the treated gas stream.
