- High capacity sulfur removal, up to 14% by weight for anaerobic (10 lbs sulfur/ft3 ) and up to 28% by weight for aerobic conditions (20 lbs sulfur/ft3 ).
- Cost-effective reliable low level H2S removal with starting outlet levels at non-detect and slowly rising to the desired maximum outlet concentration.
- Removes lower levels of mercaptans/COS together with H2S.
- Effective removal of light mercaptans with very little or no conversion to disulfides like other iron-based products, with or without oxygen in the gas.
- Forms basic sulfur and some stable iron sulfides.
- High particle strength and low dust content. Low and stable pressure drop, beginning to end.
- Spent media is easy and safe to handle.
- Presence of liquid water or hydrocarbons does not interfere or degrade the Axens media.
- Can be returned to Axens for re-processing or meets US and California requirements for non-hazardous disposal, without process contamination.
