- Physiologic and healthcare applications: Vasoconstrictor and hemostatic (used for the relief of itching and burning associated with hemorrhoids and varicose veins). Anti-diarrheal. Antioxidant. Relief of menstrual and menopause symptoms. Topical use: skin conditioning. Anti-inflammatory for the skin and oral cavity (mouthwash and gargles).
