This product is a food-grade orthophosphoric acid that presents as a colorless, odorless, transparent syrupy liquid. Its applications span both the food and technical industries. In food applications, it serves as an acidulant in soft drinks, aids in the purification and processing of drinking water, contributes to cane sugar refining, assists in vegetable oil degumming, and acts as a yeast nutrient. In technical applications, it finds use in the textile and fiber industries, functions as an anti-freeze agent, and plays a role in the production of foliar fertilizers and water-soluble fertilizers.
