    Mode of Action
    • The aqueous solution of Trisodium Phosphate has a strong alkaline action.
    • It reacts with alkaline earth and heavy metal salts to give Phosphates of very low solubility.
    • Trisodium Phosphate has excellent buffering qualities. Due to its physical properties and the content of water of hydration, Trisodium Phosphate tends to form lumps.
    • This tendency generally increases over time of storage, especially when the material is exposed to high temperature, high humidity levels or high pressure.
    • These lump formations might be reversible through an adequate physical treatment of the material.
