FR CROS® 759 is an aluminum polyphosphate, which acts as a ceramifying agent at temperatures above 300 °C. It is used in combination with ammonium polyphosphate, e.g. FR CROS® 584, to optimize char strength, adhesion and character of the intumescent char. The use of FR CROS® 759 in intumescent coatings improves char performance by increasing insulation and enhancing cell structure homogeneity.
